Reviews for The Peppermint
Review highlights
Based on 373 reviewsThe Peppermint is widely appreciated as a charming local cafe and breakfast spot in London, known for its fresh, healthy, and flavorful menu offerings. Customers frequently highlight the friendly, attentive staff and the welcoming atmosphere, making it a preferred choice for both quick lunches and leisurely brunches. The menu’s variety, including popular items like shakshouka, lasagna, pastries, and fresh juices, receives consistent praise for quality and taste. While the pricing is considered fair by most, some find it slightly on the higher side. Despite competition from nearby national chains, The Peppermint maintains a loyal customer base drawn to its personalized service and quality food near Maida Vale station.
Just moved to London and found this amazing spot for the freshest, tastiest and healthiest food! I’m a regular already. The staff is so friendly and chill. I hope this place never closes!!
Always lovely and better than the two chains within site but sadly the national chains still get trade that should go to the Peppermint.
Great for a quick lunch!Very friendly and generous staff, offered me an extra meatball when I told them I didn't want the sweet potato mash which normally comes with my meal (see pictures). In total, my main and "Apple, Orange, Carrot and Mint juice" came to 15. I feel it is fairly priced given the fast & friendly service combined with the location (right by Maida Vale station).I would feel comfortable bringing my kids here, there are tables by the side with comfortable seating. There are a few tables outside which are nice too.Food quality wise, the salad was fresh and the meatballs nicely warmed up. Personally I felt that the salad could have used a little more seasoning and the meatballs were a little peppery. By all means it was enjoyable, just not the best I've had. There is WiFi available at the café.
My favorite little coffee and brunch spot in the area. Inside the table service us amazing and the staff are always so friendly and happy to help. I love the shakshouka for brunch, both the beef and vegetarian lasagna are both flavorful and it’s hard to decide between the two. The pastries are all amazing, the fresh squeezed juices are well balanced and the salads are tasty and filling, and appropriately balanced with dressing, my favorite is the beetroot. Oh and who can forget the delicious wines, they offer a lovely selection of wines to pair with you lunch or dinner. Can’t wait to go back and try some more of the menu for breakfast, brunch and lunch!
Nice local cafe. Good service. Delicious breakfast. A bit pricey
Lovely place. Friendly, attentive staff. Tasty, reasonably priced food.I think it’s also worth mentioning that they do a few things very well that a lot of much higher priced cafes and restaurants do not. Namely the lighting is pleasant. Not too high but not too dim. The temperature is pleasant. Windows open for fresh air and ceiling fans. Thirdly the music. It’s at a pleasant volume and is relaxing. All things that cost very little but make a huge difference to the customers experience.Well done guys. Will be back
